I’m working on a cover letter for a job application. It’s just for a one-year contract, but I want it, because job means money, and money is good, because having money means being able to pay for necessities like food and utilities, and having money beyond that needed for necessities means being able to buy fun treats! ^_^ Like clothes. I like clothes. I’m always in the market for new clothes. And shoes too. Shoes are always good. ^_^
Wow, I’m easy to sidetrack. Anyhoo, I’m collecting all the things I need to submit this application. I strongly dislike writing cover letters. But as I’m working, I’m getting a touch nervous about this application. I really hope I get the job. I think I’m qualified. I think I have the sort of background experience they’re looking for. In fact, I think I should be a pretty strong candidate. I always fear, though, that someone better than me will come along and snap it out from under my nose. That happened to me a lot a few years ago in my younger days when I would go out in search of summertime work. I’d send in my resumé for file clerk jobs, reception jobs, data entry jobs, and I almost never got an interview. It was downright depressing.
Anyway, I’ll submit this soon, and then sit on pins and needles for about a week or so. Which brings up the fact that I’m already on pins and needles waiting to hear back on a conference submission I made in May. Oh yes, and I’m waiting for feedback on something else too.
I want a vacation.

What is the job title that you are applying for??
The important thing to remember about your one-year contract, Kaori-san, is that your appearance at the initial interview is going to be far more important than your resume. In this case, you’re going to want to make a favorable impression on the husband and/or any wives attending the interview. And, for the record, the going rate for concubines is $30/hr. or roughly $52K a year.
