Another week gone flying by. O_o
I don’t have any big plans for the weekend – just a lot of lazing around, I hope. ^_^ Even though I can’t figure why, this past week has felt really busy. Maybe it’s because I got two paper drafts for publication cranked out – one working paper, one proceedings paper. And by cranked, really I mean I copied and pasted out of bigger papers (my own papers! Relax – no plagiarism here!) and then did some rearranging and extra writing to make sure it all still made sense. ^_^ Had a bit of a headache trying to fill in my references section for the working paper this morning – I don’t put in full names, just initials, but for this I need full names, so I was doing lots and lots of Google searching. I was able to get everything I needed except for one thing from a 1987 proceedings that doesn’t seem to exist in any source on the Web. Very strange. O_o I don’t have the original paper – in fact, I never even saw the original. I just need to cite it in my references because it’s the original source for some data that I got through another paper, where the citation is given the same way I like to. Grrrrr.

There was an episode of the Oprah show once (the episode was called “stupid girls”) in which a woman was featured who used to persuade girls into participating in the “girls gone wild” video series. She said the girls thought it was their “15 minutes of fame”. Oprah didn’t really approve of the “girls gone wild” series though.
