Okay guys.. I was up late getting these pictures ready – thinking that the last pictures Christmas pictures I took were me in my onesie…. Apparently, last Christmas, I happened to be wearing the *same* pajamas!!! And I guess I was feeling a bit more exhibitionist.
So… I apologize… And to make it up to you, I will make another gallery within the next two weeks… Trust me. It will be better

For the past month and a half or so, I’ve been wandering around with nails that look like this:

I really like ‘em. It’s not exactly cheap, and I have to go see a nail tech to get them maintained, but I really like having the elegant looking fingertips.

Actually, I was thinking a little bit about how I’ve been splurging on these nails, and it occurred to me that here I am, getting my nails all professionally gussied up so that they look pretty, but if I want fancy nails that will actually stand up to the rigours of normal everyday life, this is what I need to do unless I’m willing to spend the time to do natural nail manicures on my own.

These gel nails do not chip, peel, or otherwise show any signs of suffering abuse after 18 days, short of new nail growth showing up at the bottom. It costs me $48, with tip, to get them spiffied up – the tech sands down the old gel a bit, then redoes the white on the tips, then reapplies clear gel to the whole nail. It takes about an hour. The last time I went for a fill, it had been 18 days since my previous fill. I think I can probably stretch it out to three weeks between fills. Yes, a substantial amount of money in a year.

But, it’s an hour of my time once every three weeks, and only one hour – as soon as the gel has been set under the lights, I can resume normal activities. If I were to do my own polish manicure at home, it would take me 20 minutes to apply the polish, and then anywhere from an hour to an hour and a half for the polish to properly dry and set, which means up to two hours of time during which I can do nothing. Not only is this twice as long per application, each application is considerably more short-lived – after four days, it’s looking pretty rough. So I’d need to do it twice a week, instead of once every three weeks. That’s at least three, as much as four hours a week. That’s 208 hours a year. Compared to about 18 hours a year with the gels.

In a year, I’d pay about $864 to save myself 190 hours time. $4.58 per hour.

Of course, I could simply not have fancy nails at all and save myself the $864 and gain back the 18 hours. But what fun would that be?

Okay guys – you wanted some pictures, and I didn’t have time to take any naughty ones – so this is what you get!! See, you shouldn’t rush me!^_^

I stayed at the Wynn using a special hotwire discount, otherwise I could never afford it! They wanted $500 a room on the weekend!

Also, although the rooms were breathtaking, the casino was breathstealing!!!

Seriously, why do people smoke so much? The other casinos I toured did not have the same ‘smoke’ problem, probably due to the higher ceilings…. I’d walk through the Wynn casino, and emerge hacking and sputtering out near the waterfall… It was gross!!

Anyways, enjoy the pics – wish I could have had something a little more risque for you, but maybe soon I’ll get something up!! ^_^ The weather was just too poor for me to wear anything revealing – as you can tell, we had to wear our icebreaker hoodies one day!!!! It was *cold*! We were sitting under a heat lamp at the outdoor cafe near the front of the Wynn, our poor little bodies shivering, waiting for our hot soup!!
