Yesterday I was subjected to an olfactory assault….

You know, the only issue I have with public transportation is the fact that you have no control over the people who are also making use of public transportation at the same time as you….

Anyways, yesterday, while riding on public transit, I encountered two guys who looked sort of unkempt and grungy. Too bad for me, they boarded and then wandered down to the end I was occupying. Fortunately, they only stayed on until the next station. Once they were gone, the air cleared pretty quickly, so there’s no doubt in my mind as to where the smell came from. X_x

How do people like that show themselves in public? Do they really not know how bad they smell? Do they really not notice the other people around them turning away, ducking their heads into collars and scarves looking for a way to filter out the odour? It was bad. Really bad! I don’t think they were homeless, just lazy!!!

I’m so glad most people have some sense of hygiene, so this doesn’t happen too often. Still, once is probably more than I’d like….

It’s Sunday, and the new week is upon us. Instead of hiding under the covers and crying, we should embrace what the new week has to offer!!!

Okay, so maybe it’s a pretty meager offering. Anyways, I diligently spent a bit of time in Practice Mode in Rockband, working my way through Flirtin’ with Disaster by Molly Hatchett. First, I tried it at 50% speed, and did pretty well with it. Then I started bringing the speed back up to normal with each successive attempt - 60%, then 70%, then 80%, then 90%. My accuracy decreased with each increase in speed, but I felt like I was improving.

This a few days ago…. Today, I decided to give it a go, without having tried it at normal speed in practice mode. I loaded up my Solo Tour file, and made my selection.

And I got through it!

Not perfectly - nowhere near perfectly, but not too shabbily either. I scored four of five stars on the whole song - pretty close to five, but just not close enough - and I did dip down into the red danger zone on the solo for a bit, but I managed to muddle through and pull it off! ^_^

Once I finished the Big Rock Ending, a special little concert animation started up, because this was the last song I needed to get through to complete my Solo Tour. I then received my award for completing the Solo Tour on Hard - a golden guitar. ^_^

Now, do I dare try my hand at Expert? ^_^

Now that it’s April, and my brain thinks that spring is here and summer is just around the corner (regardless of what the weather outside is), I’m starting to get that new sandal hankering.

Okay, forget starting. I have that new sandal hankering. ^_^

Typically, I will get a new pair of sandals every spring, and wear them pretty much into the ground over the course of the summer. Sometimes a pair will last more than one summer, but usually something goes on them, or I simply decide I’m tired of them after having worn them every single day for an entire season. ^_^ Right now, I still have two pairs of heeled sandals that are usable, one more than the other. So, quite naturally, I’m thinking a new pair of sandals wouldn’t be the worst thing I can buy.

Now, Crocs are comfy - I have a pair of mary jane style Crocs that I like a lot, but they’re flat, and I like/need heels… I’m Asian.. you should understand! ^_^ So I cruised over to Crocs.com to have a look to see if any new intriguing styles had emerged.

And they have!

Now I want these. I want black/black ones, and brown/cotto ones - because variation in footwear is nice, and they’re only $50 USD a pair anyway! ^_^ Problem - the website says they’re out of stock. So I can’t order directly from them. Which is fine, since I couldn’t find any information on shipping costs anywhere. So I trucked over to eBay Canada to see if any were to be had there. None whatsoever. T-T On eBay USA, there were two pair, neither in my size. T-T

So I have a bit of a wait on my hands if I truly want these sandals. Which I do. But I’m not exactly known for my ample patience in this department. ^_^
