Last night I made a simple pasta dish - spinach fettucini noodles topped with a basic tomato based meat sauce. Pretty much I opened up a jar of Classico pasta sauce - the portobello mushroom one - and combined it with ground beef, red onion, and white onion that I had browned together in a skillet first. I threw in some italian seasoning mixture, chili pepper, and cayenne pepper, but not very much, so they didn’t do much for the flavour in the end. The result was alright. Edible. By no means fantastic.
Now, when I moved out of my parents’ home, one of my aunts gave me a set of cookbooks - the entire The Best of Bridge series. She got the set at Costco, so the six books were all shrinkwrapped together. Today, I finally cut open that shrinkwrap and started thumbing through the pages. Most of the main dishes are casserole type things, but that’s okay because the vegetable ones make good sides to go with a meat portion, and there are others that combine meat and veggies together into one dish, which could be served with some sort of bready side.
I went through one of the volumes today pretty carefully, and picked out three recipes to try in the course of the next week or so.
This could be the start of something good! ^_^
Or it could be a disaster waiting to happen. O.o

let’s hope.. it is the start of something good! If it doesnt turn out right,feed the left overs to the mice in your apt and maybe they will move to the apt next door!
When I moved out of my parents’ home, they gave me a garbage can, a roll of paper towels and a nod as if to say, “this is it son, don’t ever come back, like even on holidays and shit like that.” I wish I had me some cook books.
