Anyways, I would highly recommend a two-week vacation to anyone - it does wonders for your outlook on life. Coming back from the vacation is less inspiring - in fact, last night I had a wee panic attack about no longer being on vacation, possibly owing to the fact that I was completely irresponsible and did not do a single iota of real work while on vacation, because hey, I was on vacation! So now I must figure out a way to deal with the backlog of missed productivity without creating a new backlog. I’ll figure it out. Might not be till after Christmas, but I’ll figure it out.

Duration of vacation: 2 weeks

First stop: Las Vegas, NV
Delay at airport in departing for Vegas: 1.5 hours
Time originally allotted for collecting baggage, taxi to hotel, checking in, and retrieving tickets for show that evening at 10:30 PM: 2.25 hours
Time for all that once we had actually landed: 35 minutes
Nails bitten down to the quick: 3 (well, not really - I don’t bite my nails - but you get the idea on how stressful this was)
Outside temperature in Vegas upon arrival at 10 PM local time: 32 C
Time arrived at hotel: 10:20 PM
Number of bags checked because there wasn’t enough time to actually take them to our rooms before the show: 9 (in our defence, there were 5 of us traveling together)
Time we were seated for the show: 10:29 PM
Reminder - time show started: 10:30 PM, and they were prompt!
Number of shows we saw that we booked in advance: 3 - Crazy Horse Paris, Kà, Wayne Newton
Total number of shows we saw: 6 - add in Wayne Brady’s Making @#it Up, Phantom of the Opera, and X Burlesque
Amount of money I spent in casinos: roughly -$30 USD (as in, I came out ahead about $30 USD - yay slot machines and cautious play!)
Amount of money I spent in shops: roughly $200 USD
Amount of money I spent on myself in shops: roughly $125
Number of hotels visited for sightseeing/shows: 12
Number of casinos I played sluts slots in: 5
Number of player’s club cards I collected: 3
Number of times we had to change hotel rooms because they messed up our reservations: 1

Number of times we ventured off the strip: 1, to go to an IHOP

Regrets: none. I’d do it all again in a heartbeat, even with the frazzled nerves and minor annoyances along the way. Most definitely will be returning to Vegas on Vacation in the future.
Second stop: Vancouver Island, BC
Flight destination: Vancouver, BC
Number of travelers: 4 - no, we didn’t lose one in Vegas, we planned it this way

Time originally allotted for collecting baggage, clearing customs, purchasing tickets for shuttle to ferry and ferry ride: 1 hour

Number of days spent lazing on a lake: 3
