Well guys, remember how last week I said I was probably gonna go to Sin City?
Tonight’s the night.. unless my friends BAIL on me again!!! Hehehe… buggers…
Last night we tried a restaurant called Rockaberry for dessert. This spot came highly recommended to us, particularly for their wonderful pies.

Now, I was told that they had wonderful pies. I assumed ‘pie’ was a round baked thing, with pastry layers on top and on the bottom, with a filling, usually fruit, but sometimes creme, on rare occasions topped with meringue. I did not realize that what my informants were trying to tell me was that Rockaberry has wonderful pies, heaped high way beyond pastry and filling, with mousse and cake and all kinds of wonderful goodies thrown in for good measure.

I had a slice of Chocolate Fantasy pie - this had a layer of chocolate sponge cake at the bottom, a layer of fresh strawberries, topped off with a thick, thick layer of chocolate mousse, garnished with some chocolate drizzle and a single wedge of strawberry. It was so good. So good. my sister had the same. Afriend had the Chocolate Butter Crunch, which was a pastry layer, chocolate mousse, soft caramel, and bits of crunchy butterscotch all woven together by pie magic. I had a bite, and it too was so good. So good.

I think it is safe to say that we will be back at Rockaberry for more pie in the foreseeable future. I want to try their Oreo Cheesecake pie. And their Rockaberry Special. And their Lemon Meringue. And their Chocolate Cheesecake pie.

Tonight, I will dream of yumminess.
