I’ve decided I need to get some nicer ski gear. My boots, helmet, and skis are all perfectly fine, and I’m not looking to replace them yet… I did replace the too-large gloves with some ski mittens that worked really well. My snow pants I’m still happy with.
It’s the jacket. I no longer like this jacket.
Well, I stopped liking it several years ago - it used to be my regular winter jacket - however the problem is in justifying the expense - ski jackets are ludicrously expensive, and there’s nothing physically wrong with the jacket I have, save for the fact that I no longer find its appearance appealing.
Seeing all the beautiful jackets others are wearing as they gracefully slide down the slopes, though, makes me wonder if a nicer jacket would make me a more skilful skier. ^_^ Well. Maybe spring clearance sales will help me test that hypothesis. ^_^
