Do you see a problem here????

This McDonald’s ketchup packet has been kicking around in my ketchup packet bin for probably over a year now. There’s an expiry date printed on the back, but it says October 2007. And the packet is swollen.

I say again, the packet is swollen. Look at it. It looks like an overstuffed pillow. The foil-lined plastic can barely contain the contents. It’s ready to burst.

I’m throwing it out. Not even opening it. I don’t want to know what was able to grow inside there to make it look like this from the outside.

I wonder though – had I left it in the bin, would there have been a day when I would have been sitting quietly at home when I heard this soft bam! noise, and upon investigation have found that the packet had actually exploded????

Yuck
