Anyways, it’s time for a change of pace….

After all the blinking lights, enticing chimes, and super oxygenated air I’ve been enjoying lately, a change will do me good, right?

I most of today relaxing on a lake on Vancouver Island. No insane desert heat, no ever-present air conditioning, no strangers approaching me offering me free show tickets, free hotel stays, and free buffet dinners, if only I agree to spend two to three hours listening to their time share presentations – until they learn I’m not a homeowner, at which point they’re no longer interested in me.

Instead, I enjoyed warm sunshine, splashing about in mostly shallow water – wearing my PFD, of course – and drying out on the rocks afterwards, knitting and listening to the quiet as dragonflies buzzed about.

Yes, the change was nice, and yes, it was probably good for me to get out of Las Vegas – but I’m already looking forward to my next trip back. I’ll see O. I’ll see the new Criss Angel Cirque du Soleil show. I’ll see Zumanity. If I get my act together and do a little research during the planning stages, I could even time my trip so that I get to see some good stand up comedy acts. It was good, but next time will be better… I’m still not looking forward to my flight back to Montreal and the ‘real world’!!!
