Given the date, I’ve been thinking a little bit about New Year’s Resolutions. In the past, I never really bothered making any – on the hunch that I wouldn’t be able to keep them… Like so many wasted gym memberships purchased in January that don’t get any use beyond the third week or so. In passing, I’ve never been guilty of that, but that might have something to do with the fact that I’ve never really stuck to a regular workout regimen, except for one year as an undergrad, when a friend and I arranged to meet twice a week and use the university’s fitness facilities. We were both really good for that one year. However, the next year, our schedules didn’t mesh, and we both found ourselves skipping our solo sessions and eating instead…..
At any rate, maybe it’s advancing age, but I feel somehow obliged to make a New Year’s Resolution this year. I don’t want a hokey one, like Be a better person, or an impossible one, like procrastinate less… I need something REALLY manageable. Maybe cook a little more often – you know, not my typical oven-warmed food, but real cooking! With the chopping of the vegetables and the cooking of raw meat.
I’ll expand my cooking horizons beyond stir fry and baking.
Or alternately, I could go with something more frivolous, like take better care of my nails, which would translate into giving myself manicures more frequently. If I go this route, I’ll have to run out and buy myself a new bottle of base coat, and maybe a couple of new colours to motivate me a little. ^_^ Golly, I’m a vain creature. ^_^

To answer your question Kaori, i celebrated mainly with my familly. here and there. Just way too much eating, and more wine in 3 days than in the past 3 months…. good wine though… you like wine? red or white? or rosée? BY the way, in your comment about the trying to post pics of you ona monthly basis, you mentioned something about making it easier? What do you mean? DO you need a photographer? I could show you some of the amateur pictures i took of my ex…. i won’t charge you…

hihihi… you remembered… but since then, i spent a year or so with another beautiful women of german descent and took many many really nice pictures of her…. I still think i can do a better job than a tripod, and aside from that, the sheer amount of pictures i could take in a fraction of the time your tripod would would be amply worth my low fee…
