Anyways, in many belief systems, when someone needs for things to go smoothly, or for luck to not run against them in some way, they usually turn to the spiritual world and ask, perhaps even beg for assistance.
If you believe in one all powerful super deity, then you ask that individual.
If you believe that the responsibility of governing the many domains of our world are divided up amongst a population of deities, then you would ask the one responsible for whatever it is you need help with. If you were worried about the next day’s hunt, you wouldn’t turn to the guy responsible for wine and revelry.
Now, I grew up in a home where no deities were recognized. If you wanted something to go well, you took steps to make sure that nothing could go wrong, or that the things that could go wrong were trivial, or that there was a reasonable backup plan.
I have some work-related technology hurdles I’m going to be tackling in fairly short order here. There is a backup plan, but it’s sort of ugly. I’ve done my level best to try to make sure that everything will work according to plan, but not everything is in my control here.
So my question is, who do I turn to for that extra bit of luck for smooth sailing?
Maybe I just need to polish some horseshoes….

Don’t you wish there was an undo button but would we get anywhere. “Tru Calling” was great but she found out she didn’t have the only do over option. And Trance Gemini from Andromeda, she experienced all possible outcomes. Sounds like a headache.

Nah, jealousy has nothing to do with this one… except slight jealousy I don’t get to learn of things through the proper channels about my ex (admitted cyber-stalker), yet the more I learn of her… The more worried I get for her.
