Okay guys – time for a wet and messy orgy!!! Anyways, I have a friend who has asked me to do some proofreading for her. Since she really truly is a friend of mine, I have no problem with this – even though this means that instead of going brain dead in front of the TV tonight, I will be reading through the 69-page document she sent me because being the procrastinator that I am I didn’t touch it till now and she asked me to do it by tomorrow!! But that’s okay! Because she’s my friend.
That being said, someone else I know sent me an email message today asking if I could proofread something of his. This I am less inclined to do. Not because I dislike him – I wouldn’t call us friends, but I have nothing against him. Simply because it’s the frantic season, and I have mental images of stacks and stacks of things that I need to get accomplished that all want to have top priority…. Adding one more thing to those piles seems like it would be a mistake.
Am I really going to refuse though? I don’t know. It seems so mean and unfriendly. And if he doesn’t need it done very promptly, I could probably squeeze it in somewhere. But he did give me an out – he said that if I just don’t have time, he’ll understand. And that little nagging voice in my head is screaming You really don’t have time for this! But I keep thinking, well, I could spare a little bit of time to help him out…
Instead I come on here and blog while I look at porn… I guess it’s time to get to work!
