Okay guys – I must say, I’m a little surprised that nobody talked about Paris Tale! I thought she was quite cute!! Little Lupe is pretty cute as well, but she’s looking a little furry in this gallery!! Oh well!

Anyways, last year, I was attending a conference in Banff, which means I got to spend some time wandering around the townsite. Now, being the tourist trap town that it is, Banff has no fewer than three shops where they make chocolates and fudge on site. You see, this is their hook – as you’re walking along, your nose picks up the unmistakable scent of chocolatey goodness. Then, you look around, and see a shop with a ginormous front window, through which you can see someone working at a table. As you get closer, you realize that the table is covered in melted chocolatey goodness, and that person is actually working the chocolate into fudge. So you stand there, mesmerized by the moving, folding fudge and the wonderful scent emanating from the shop. Once the show’s over, you simple have to have some fudge. So you head on in and make your purchase.

I fell victim to this sequence of events, and bought small bricks of three different kinds of fudge – chocolate marshmallow, white chocolate cherry, and chocolate Oreo. The chocolate marshmallow got eaten up within a week. The others, though, got set aside, in an attempt to not make myself sick with eating too much fudge, and once they got set aside, they sort of got forgotten. The white chocolate cherry got eaten about halfway through before it got forgotten, and I ended up throwing the rest out about six months ago because I noticed some brown discoloured spots showing up around the cherries and figured that wasn’t a good sign. O.o

Today, though, I was rooting around in the pantry looking for hot chocolate mix – and found that brick of chocolate Oreo fudge, completely untouched. This fudge is now over a year old. The question is, is it still good? Is there anything in it that could have gone bad? Sure, it’s pretty hard now, but it could potentially still be edible. Couldn’t it?

Well. I’m not sure. So for the time being, back into the pantry it goes. ^_^

Maybe that will just give me another rash! *ick*
