So today was the big Macworld event, where Steve Jobs basically details all the products and developments one can expect from Apple for the coming year.
I actually didn’t know about this until I heard about it on the radio this morning. The reason it got my attention is because there was speculation that one of the big announcements would be the arrival of the iPhone in Canada.
Remember how I blogged about wanting an iPhone last year, after Macworld, when it was first unveiled to the world? And remember how at the time, there was speculation that I would only have to wait till July or so to get my hands on one?
Well, perhaps obviously, iPhones have not been available in Canada to date. So when the radio announcer mentioned the speculation around this potential announcement, I perked up some, which is quite a feat since I am not a morning person. ^_^
As the day progressed, I periodically Googled “iPhone Canada” to see if any confirmation of the iPhone’s arrival in Canada could be found.
Much to my disappointment, at about 4:45 PM my random Googling turned up a comment on a blog, in which the author expressed his own disappointment about the absence of such an announcement from Jobs’ speech. T-T
Nuts.
So, my wait for my iPhone must go on longer. I guess it’ll take at least another calendar year? Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooo….. They’re neat!!!

What’s the big deal about the iPhone, anyway? I mean, yeah…touch screens are nice and all…but the novelty wears off fairly quickly. And as far as accessibility goes, I’ve heard that they’re only being used by a single cell service thus far. Of course, that’s only in America…it may be different for Canada when it hits the market there.
Operative: It will only be able to be used on one cell provider here… Of course, I think we only have 4 different ones, with a few of them actually being on the same network!!!!!
As for novelty, I don’t know! I tried the ‘iTouch’ in a store, and it was pretty cool to flip through photos with!!!!!! Very neat!!
