Which reminds me, remember that glass pen I ordered last August that was stolen in transit? Well, I still haven’t received it – and now the person at the online store that sent it is ignoring my polite (I think) email inquiries as to whether I can expect the replacement stuff to be shipped soon. The store’s point of view is that it’s not their fault, so they’re going to send out replacements once they get paid for those replacements. They’ve been corresponding with USPS on this one – I’ve been frustratingly left in the dark, because apparently the sender is the one who has all the control in terms of starting trace inquiries and other investigations. At this point, I’m still optimistic that I will eventually receive my order, but there is a niggling little doubt poking around in my brain that tells me that I’ve just spent money on nothing at all…. I wonder what sort of options I have available to me to try and get what I paid for? Darn postal workers…

You might think that that whole kafuffle might have spooked me off of online shopping, but that just isn’t the case. ^_^ I still make pretty much all my purchases online, except for things like groceries. It’s just so easy! What usually ends up happening is I’ll be working away at the computer, and get stuck with something, and then start putzing around on the Web waiting for my brain to de-stick itself. ^_^ And then packages of new things start arriving at my doorstep! It’s like getting presents! ^_^ Except that ultimately, I have to pay for them. But still! New stuff! Yay! ^_^

Speaking of putzing, I guess I should stop now and get back to work. ^_^
