Anyways, speaking of Tia Tanaka’s skirt…… Once upon a time, casual clothes worked their way out of my wardrobe due to my work schedule colliding with my school schedule, so I was always dressed more towards the office casual end of the spectrum. More recently, casual items like corduroy pants and zip-collared sweaters have found their way back in…. I find myself, however, working (parttime as you can guess) in an environment where it may be expected that I dress not-so-casually. No one has explicitly told me that there is a dress code – in fact, I asked some soon-to-be-coworkers right before I started, and was told that there pretty much was no dress code. So I just dove right in to my job, dressing as I usually do these days… Icebreaker sweaters, Prana Pants… No one has commented, or complained about my choice of attire. I can’t help but noticing, though, that I am probably the most casually dressed person in my department. Certainly I am the most casually dressed among the women. The others will wear snappy suits, or tailored dress pants with a dressier shirt, and there I am in my semi-athletic pants and zip-neck merino sweaters….
Perhaps not surprisingly, this situation has been making me feel a bit self-conscious at work, and I’m wondering if I should try to raise my own personal appearance bar a bit. I caught some decent sales on dress pants over the course of the past year, so I now have four pair that I would be happy to wear regularly. I think the vast majority of my sweaters would not look strange with dressier pants – which is just as well since I’m not keen on running out to buy a whole thwack of blouses. So this transition is something that would be feasible without me having to expend a whole lot of effort or money. Perhaps I should try to blend in a bit better with my colleagues…. No power pant-suits however!!!

For the record, I reckon you should go to work dressed like Tia and watch all the men get self-conscious as they walk around with dicks like iron trying not to stare ^_^ that said there’s something very sexy about a woman who can pull off the power-suit…

No power pant-suits!
Well my lease expired on Nov 11, and after over 3 1/2 yrs it’s time, and I put in an application for a place…but I think 20 other people did too, it’s an awesome townhouse.
And I was NOT drunk…I had balloons and needed to dispose of them…donating to drunks seemed better than popping them at the time…
