I think they’re about five years old. They’re really nice – lined with fur – and they were really warm. The main part, where most of my hand and all my fingers go, is still pretty warm. The trouble is the thumbs are not. I think the fur must have been compacted and worn away. So my thumbs get cold.
Maybe I should put ‘new mittens’ on my Christmas wish list. I guess new warmer mittens won’t solve the problem of me having to take them off if I want to get out my keys. Hm.
Okay, summer can come back now.
