Okay guys… I think I need some of Gigi Spice‘s attention.. I need a nurse to take care of me!
Yesterday’s post was rather grouchy, but I think I know why now….
Tonight, I’m running a fever. My thermometer tells me that I have a temperature of 101 F, which is 38 C. I have some aches. I’ve been dozing a fair bit since I got home from work.
So all that lethargy and unwillingness to do much of anything? It’s because I was coming down with a flu.
Now, my symptoms are pretty mild – that’s not a wild fever, I’m not crippled with pain and bedridden, and actually my energy level is not too bad. I don’t move too quickly, but I’m not completely averse to moving. When I’m up, I’m pretty alert – not lost in a confused, spinny haze.
Still. With all the hyperness about H1N1, I’m staying home tomorrow. Hopefully I’ll be recovered for Monday.
This probably means I should get my flu vaccines this year.
Stupid flu…..

Up the vitamin c doses while you can still move. Hope you feel better soon.
Be still & warm and keep plenty of fluids washing through you to get better quickly. Are you taking any meds for it? Funny how at first in the news it was called the Swine flu then H1N1 as if people couldnt handle the word swine yet the cat was out of the bag at that point so they should have just kept calling it swine.
At the onset of a cold or flu I usually drink some ginger spice. You can boil some fresh ginger in Coke (not coke) and drink it very warm. Of course Gigi Spice or Ginger Spice and especially Wasabi Spice will make me forget all my pains and aches.

A person is more likely to be killed by a drunken driver than H1N1 virus.
So, make sure you don’t drive to the clinic to get the H1N1 flu shot – defeats the purpose.
Barry: Yeah, I’ve been having about 3grams of vitamin C a day..
thinking it was a lot.. didn’t notice that the usual dose was 2g though…..
Jim: I have gatoraide, spent so long almost dying at a clinic yesterday (5 hour wait) to get tamiflu… which made it so it was almost 48 hours between when I got it, and started taking tamiflu..
Tamiflu is best when taken early, and doesn’t help much after…
I made a big of beef with rice while I was still alive – beef, rice, ginger, etc.. just nuke and eat as comfort food..
IFA: Yeah, that would be a great idea… While I was stocking up on soups, I saw a guy buy ginger – but I was too tired to get out of line and hunt it down….
