Anyways, my right eye is a brat.
I had my second follow up visit at the eye clinic today. Remember that inflammation that was observed on Monday? Still there. No change, in spite of the change in drops and drop schedule. So today I was advised to up the dosage again - now I’m to put in a drop every hour while awake. After consulting with the surgeon, they’ve also decided to keep my right eye on the antibiotic drops for an additional two days. Before anyone out there worries about my right eye falling out, I don’t think this inflammation is a huge concern, it’s just something that needs to go away. I was also warned that this type of inflammation is sort of peculiar in that it will undergo no change whatsoever until dosed with precisely the right amount of medication, at which point it will clear up almost instantaneously. So yes, this basically means that my right eye is just being difficult. You may further recall that my right eye was the one that was only seeing 20/30. Difficult.
My left eye, on the other hand, is very well behaved. 20/20 vision. No dryness or irritation. Not a sign of the inflammation that currently plagues my right eye. It is chugging along smoothly with the prescribed drop schedule, which means that today is its first day without the antibiotic drops, and it is down to only two drops a day of the corticosteroid drops.
My next appointment is tomorrow afternoon. We’ll see what the status is then. Hopefully i’ll have my IPhone!!!! ^_^
