Okay guys, when I selected this picture as the ‘preview’, I didn’t notice the crazed rodent look in Ember’s eyes…. Anyways, I phoned to schedule a consultation with a laser vision correction centre. There, I did it - I’ve taken the first step towards a life of clear vision without glasses or contact lenses. My days of poking my fingers around in my eyes are numbered! ^_^
Except, that number is bigger than I had hoped and anticipated, because I was told that there’s a waiting list for these appointments, and at present it looks like I won’t be able to have my consultation until July. That’s not even when the surgery will take place either - I didn’t ask, so I’m not sure how much of a wait there is between consultation and surgery.
Oh well. I guess, really, there’s no massive rush - after all, I’ve been rooting around in my eyes everyday for years now, what difference is a few more months going to make? Still, I was hoping to get this done in early May, and be able to enjoy my first full summer without corrective lenses in any form.
I suppose another option would be to check around for another surgeon who doesn’t have such a massive patient wait list. That, however, then leads to the question of why that surgeon doesn’t have a massive patient wait list. X_x

How much does the surgery cost in Canada?
Is the surgery good for life or will your eyes change and you will need to do it again several years later? And how safe is it? Does it the surgery rarely go wrong? To me,it sounds alot less scary if you would just skip the surgery and contacts and wear glasses. How do you know you dont look sexier in glasses??
