Anyways, I have played enough Rock Band that I have realized something that I probably should have figured out a long time ago or should have had some intuition about.

Playing is harder when I’m tired.

Yes, this seems like something very straightforward and not hard to figure out. Yet, I played my way through the Endless Setlist – that’s all 58 songs that come with the original Rock Band game, in a row, no breaks – and it was all fine. Well, I was feeling a bit buggy by the end, and when I looked away from the TV objects appeared to be scrolling upwards a bit. Normal, right?

Tonight, though, I had me some Rock Band time a wee bit later in the evening than usual. And songs that I normally can just breeze through on Expert with a flawless or near flawless result? I limped along. My timing was off. My fingers kept getting lost on the fret buttons. Chords? I don’t think so.

Does that mean that I’m going to accept that I’m tired and should go to bed and get a good night’s sleep and not continue playing?
