Comparison with the alarm clock revealed that the watch was displaying the correct time. So how did I lose a day?
Then I figured it out. I forgot to advance the date on December 1. November has only 30 days.
That’s right, that means that for thirty-one days, I failed to notice that my watch was displaying an incorrect date.
Interestingly, for years and years now, long before I got this watch with the date window, I’ve had this habit of looking at my watch when people ask for the date. Up until November it was a completely useless exercise. Now that I have a watch that makes this gesture meaningful, apparently I don’t do it anymore.
Either that or no one asked me for the date at all throughout December…. Am I turning into a hermit?
