So I’m trying to figure out how to analyze my data – I’m not done collecting data yet, but I can start working that which I have.
I have been given a thick manual on how to use the analysis software. Too bad for me, it’s not supremely helpful.
That being said, though, I think I’ve got it worked out how to create the kinds of files that I want. I think. I’m going to give it another go after dinner – leftover Zachary’s pizza, yummerific! I’m not sure whether what I’m doing will actually get rid of the noisy bits (where the participant moved, or laughed), and I’m not sure how to go about doing that – it’s not clear how I go about rejecting individual trials. We’ll see how the averages I get actually look.
In related news, I’ve run four francophones – I need ten. I’ve got more than six remaining ‘volunteers’, but I’ve been emailing and no one’s been answering. Panic!
