For the past while, I’ve been waking up completely exhausted every day. It doesn’t matter how much sleep I get. The past few nights haven’t been great, in terms of hours of sleep, but they haven’t been horrific either.. I’ve been getting somewhere between six and seven hours each night. Before that, I was still in holiday mode, and I was getting at least nine hours a night.
I shouldn’t be feeling particularly fatigued. And yet, dragging my eyes open and hauling myself out of bed was unbelievably hard to do.
Today, though, I think I figured out why I don’t wake up feeling rested! I’ve been having unusually active dreams. They’ve been involving lots of running and hiding, and last night’s even involved a little Alias-style espionage, with dead drops and time-sensitive access codes, and some bullet-dodging and return fire. I had to shoot Patrick Bauchau to make my escape, and Lena Olin was helping me. Later on, I saw Patrick Bauchau again, but he was uninjured, and he wasn’t at all upset that I had previously pumped him full of lead!
I wasn’t wearing a neat wig however…
Anyway. I’m going to whip up a batch of cheater cookies, only because there are three eggs in the fridge that are best by today, so I’ll feel less badly about throwing away two than I will three.
I also have to run out the door to a hair appointment – at a new salon! I got my hands on a couple of new client VIP passes. We’ll see what a fresh set of eyes decides to do with my hair, which admittedly is in need of a trim! ^_^
I hope I have a nice, slow, boring dream tonight. I can’t take much more of this waking-up-tired routine. T-T
