Okay guys, once again I’m resurrecting a girl I used to post…. And I’m not sure why I stopped!!! Sure, Brandi Belle is a little bit homely… She doesn’t have Melissa Midwest‘s winning smile, and she doesn’t have RealPeachez‘s big blue eyes…. But Brandi Belle makes up for it with her rampant sluttiness!! Anyways, as I waited at the Denver airport to catch a connecting flight to San Diego, I happened across a giant Crocs kiosk today. By giant, I mean it was really three kiosks that were pulled together to create essentially a store without walls.
Now, when Crocs first hit the market some time ago, they were frequently referred to as being ‘so ugly they’re cute’. I never really thought they were cute, but they did come in a large variety of fun colours, and they were relatively reasonably priced at around $30 a pair, and they were comfy like nothing else. I bought a pair of purple ones – and had to do a fair bit of searching to find them, as some may remember – because I figured they’d be handy as camping shoes and boating shoes. I was right on both counts. ^_^ And did I mention they were comfy?
As time goes on, the folks who are in charge of designing Crocs seem to have decided that they actually want to produce shoes people like the look of, instead of relying on the ‘so ugly it’s cute’ reaction, or the strictly utilitarian ‘comfiest shoes ever – I don’t care what they look like’. A bit of variability in style worked its way into the market. I bought a pair of burgundy Mary Jane style Crocs in anticipation of a family vacation – two straight weeks of traipsing around Disney World and Universal Studios. I made the right choice – my feet never once complained.
So when I saw the big kiosk, I felt somewhat obliged to take a closer look to see what was available. And I liked what I saw! There was a cute pair of sandals. There was a ballet flat style shoe with canvas-looking uppers and straps. There were wedge slip on sandals with heels! I really like heels!
Unfortunately, while there was an abundance of desirable Crocs, there was a noticeable lack of sale prices. T-T Well. I don’t really need new Crocs at the moment. So with a deep breath and a large dose of determination, I walked away from the kiosk empty handed. I will wait until I find a sale to get more Crocs.
Well. I’ll at least wait until summer is closer. ^_^
