In other, completely unrelated news, I finished up a lacy wrap yesterday and wet-blocked it – ten days from cast on to completion of blocking. It is now dry and wonderful in all its fuzzy brushed alpaca glory. I plan to wear it as an accessory to an upcoming wedding in the Rockies – pleasantly warm by day, but potential for evening and nighttime chills, and I figured a pretty wrap would be a better match for my dress than a softshell jacket. ^_^ If I can get a good one, I’ll post a piccy of the wrap.
Yesterday, once the wrap was all soaked and set up for blocking, I promptly cast on the second sock in a pair of socks I started. Last night, though, I goofed on one of the toe increases – I knit socks toe-up – so this morning, upon discovery of the goof, I frogged it and started over. I’m now done with the toe and am ready to begin the pattern on the foot. ^_^ Except I seem to have misplaced my pattern notes. Drat….
