The past couple of nights, I’ve had trouble sleeping. O_o
Now, historically, I’ve almost never had trouble sleeping. For as long as I can remember, all it really takes for me to get sleepy at bedtime is for me to get horizontal. My head doesn’t necessarily need to be on a pillow. I don’t necessarily need to be under a blanket. It doesn’t have to be quiet, even. When I’m super tired, I’ve been known to fall asleep while changing into pyjamas – my mother has found me with my pants half off, still holding on to them around my knees, and she’s also found me asleep – not passed out – on the bathroom floor, where I thought I could just rest my eyes a little bit one night as I got ready for bed.
So insomnia is something pretty new to me.
Wednesday night, I woke up around 4:30 AM. I don’t know why I woke up, but suddenly I was wide awake. I tried to go back to sleep. At 5 AM, I briefly pondered getting up to do something in an attempt to make myself sleepy again, but decided against it. I fell back asleep sometime between 5:15 and 5:30.
Last night, I woke up around 2:45 AM. Again, don’t know why I woke up, and again, I was wide awake. Again I tried to go back to sleep, but this time my mind was just racing with all sorts of things. I tried to focus on something useful – that is, not video game strategizing, tee hee – and wound up thinking about potential paper stuff. Then I got worried that I’d forget all this brainstorming overnight, so at 3:30 AM or so I got out of bed, went downstairs, and wrote down all the things that had been running through my head. It wound up only being a page and a bit – the same thoughts were just running by repeatedly in an effort to avoid being forgotten. So once I’d written it all done, I went back up to bed. And lay there feeling wide awake until about 5:15 or so.
I hope this isn’t a new trend. O_o

It seems you have alot on your mind..are you the type of person who remembers your dreams when you wake up? Do you feel you get enough REM sleep? And do you usually dream about school stuff,motor bikes,romance or? And do have nightmares sometimes? I had to study sleep disorders for a psychology class and i found it quite intersting. Before you go to sleep try..not to think about things that your worried..about like school stuff. You will sleep better if you do not “problem solve” while sleeping! brak and i will tuck you in and softly stroke your hair,and whisper a sweet soothing lullaby in your ears until you fall into a de-e-e-p sleep..
My PC’s back to normal porn-collecting standards, so I can go back to doing what I love best! It’s damn good to be back.
By the way, has everyone seen Good Night, and Good Luck? If not, go out and rent it right now. It’s the greatest movie out there for the history geek in us all.
Now, I have to go finish watching it for the 37th time in a row.

My dreams are usually adventures, and hardly ever nightmares!
As for thinking about stuff before bed…. I usually fall asleep almost immediately!
