Last night, I went for dinner at the home of some friends who happen to be Mormon. We ordered in some take-out Chinese food. We didn’t eat at the table, so we set up the dishes on the countertop buffet style. Before we started eating, the following exchange took place:
MormonGuy: Do you mind if we say a blessing over the food?
Me: Oh, no, not at all. Go right ahead.
MormonGuy: Are you sure?
Me: Really, it’s fine! I’m not going to burst into flames!
MormonGuy: Well maybe I’ll stand a little further away anyways…
And a very tasty meal was had by all that evening.
They insisted that I take the leftovers home with me though – claiming that they wouldn’t be able to eat all of it, and that the food would just be wasted if I left it with them. So I took the food, and am enjoying some of the leftovers as my lunch today. I’m not sure what it is, but Chinese food remains as tasty in leftovers as it was freshly made.
No complaints here! ^_^

I had mormons show up at my front door last week. The jibber-jabber went on and on..for half an hour. The only way to shoe.. them away was to accept a book of mormon from them and shut the door while the jibber-jabber continued! I dont like to be rude but enough is enough!
