Okay guys - time for a little more colour in the blog… I know both girls aren’t asian, in fact, I’d almost hazard a guess to say one of the ‘lesbians’ is actually Latina, and other may be Indian - but whatever, they’re ethic, they’re young, and they’re having a FFM threesome with a lucky guy….
Anyways. do you use timers when you cook?
If I’m using the oven, or the microwave, I do. Actually, I try to keep an eye on the clock when using the deep fryer and the panini press as well. For stovetop things, though, I sort of wing it.
Usually it turns out okay. I mean, things like canned soup are easy - all you do is heat it until it’s hot, but not boiling, and dish it out. Stir fry is pretty easy too, since you can tell by looking at the meat and veggies whether they’re cooked or not.
On the weekend, though, it came out not so okay. I was making fried eggs. I looked at them, and thought they might be done, but then remembered that the last time I had fried eggs, they were just a little bit underdone. So I left them on for a bit longer. Apparently, that bit longer was much more than I needed, because they were way overcooked when I removed them from the burner - the yolk was completely cooked through. In fact, I ended up pitching them and trying a second time, and those eggs came out fine.
I suppose that using an egg timer or some other timing device would solve the problem. But it somehow seems wrong to be using a timer to do this. Like cooking is supposed to involve some intuitive creativity, and running everything off a clock somehow wrecks that. Or maybe that only applies when you actually know how to cook. Someday, I’ll know how to fry an egg, mishap free. ^_^

No need for a timer,i just look at the clock in the kitchen and keep my mind “focussed” on what im doing. That way,whatever im cooking is removed from the heat at the proper time. Short term memory is always good to have when cooking
