To prove to myself that the deep fryer had not become possessed by an anti-fry demon, I fired it up again last night to make another batch of french fries, and again I tried the double dip method of frying. I reduced the first dip time to a mere five minutes, and then the second dip was done for only about a minute.
No explosions! No oily messes! ^_^
Just wonderful french fries. Except that these fries came out pretty much identically to single dip fries that have been left in the deep fryer for twelve or thirteen minutes. So I guess double dipping isn’t necessary for crisp, wonderful fries.
Begone, health demons! I will have my deep fried potato! ^_^
Hopefully I won’t get chubby!

Earthquakes..glad that is over! “Shaken but not stirred”..heh I was supposed to leave for hk that morning! No flights were allowed off the island yet flights were allowed in lol. Do you get many quakes in your part of the world? About the frenchfries mmmm..they do sound delicious! What kind of oil do you use in the fryer?? I hope it is the low..in saturated fat variety!Although..they will taste better if cooked in the not so healthy oils. About Ariel,She is cute and slinky! Do..post her again & with less clothing

We don’t get quakes here much – and certainly not anything damaging..
I just use canola oil.. I’d like to use peanut oil, but it’s way too expensive!
