Anyways, evolution is all about survival of the fittest, right? Those who are better able to survive in a given set of conditions are those who are more likely to pass on their genetic code to the next generation, since the benefits of that genetic code are what enable them to survive in those conditions.

I recently received an email with a little snippet of an article on this topic, and it cited the following as examples of evolution: people who live in African countries over the generations developed greater resistance to malaria (I’m sure it’s unrelated to penis size), while people living in Europe developed greater ability to digest dairy products.

Asians, meanwhile, developed drier ear wax…. (and also flat feet, bad eyesight - but those weren’t mentioned!!)

I have yet to figure out what sort of survival advantage drier ear wax gives a person. I’m pretty sure there are no predators of humans that are attracted by non-dry (wetter?) ear wax. O.o I guess it’s probably to ward off ear infections in the more humid climate…..

I may be (somewhat) lactose intolerant, and possibly subject to malaria, but at least my ear wax isn’t slimy? O.o
