So here we are at the end of the first full day at sea.

It was a good day. I booked all my excursions for the days in port – three days of snorkeling in a life jacket for me! ^_^ Should be fun! What’s not fun, though, is the cost associated with these excursions. For the moment, I’m pretending I don’t have to deal with any of the expenses, as everything is just charged to my boarding pass, which then passes the charges along to my credit card. Since I’m not actually handing over my credit card or any cash, it doesn’t feel like paying. But we’ll see how happy I am when the statement comes. O.o

I also purchased my unlimited pop card today – $6 USD per day for as much juice and pop from the onboard bars as I want. Now the trick is to make sure I make that worthwhile! One nice thing about it, though, is that the bars use real glasses and give you a straw to drink out of. The self serve juice in the buffet area is help yourself to these plastic tumblers that have a textured exterior, which is a bit unsettling, and sometimes they’re not completely dry when they’re set out, which is rather unsettling. Not having to use those tumblers makes the pop card worthwhile, I think!

I didn’t soak up much sun today, because by the time I got out to the decks all the spots that were sheltered from the wind were taken, and the wind was a bit chilly. Tomorrow should be better – further south, warmer air! ^_^

And now, I must decide – nighttime ice cream, or nighttime french fries? ^_^
