So, in addition to my usual domestic puttering, I actually got some academic work done today! Yay for me! I had a look through a couple of papers I’ve been meaning to look at for a while now - not a thorough reading, since I’ve read them both before, but a refresher read - and had some ideas on collecting my own data. That’s progress, right? I’m a step closer to being able to start writing up a proposal draft. Gurk. The notion is sending little shivers down my spine. I don’t know if it’s excitement, or just nerves. O_o Or maybe I just don’t have the thermostat cranked up high enough. O_o
Booo.. winter is coming, but I’ll have to go skiing a few times!

I LOVE Bailey, and not just because she’s a playful, unpredictable little scamp. I noticed her website offers a chance to “read my personal diary” with a membership, so I bit. And what REALLY surprised me was the depth of Bailey’s daily thoughts. Here’s an excerpt marked “September 9, 2006″ -
