Today was vacuuming day. I really didn’t want to do it. I still love my Dyson, but I just didn’t feel like vacuuming. I’m still recovering from my strep throat, and still hacking a way with my allergy… More than ever, it felt like a chore that had to be done.
I tried something new today though – I pulled out my mp3 player, picked a favourite album – I’ve converted most of my CDs into mp3s and put them on there – and plugged myself in. I’ve been meaning to start doing that because I have special earphones that deaden outside sound, so it’s actually better for my hearing to have them there instead of listening to the roar of the vacuum. Yes, I realize that if I turn the volume up too high on my mp3 player then that defeats the purpose of the sound deadening earphones, but I’m careful, I promise. ^_^
So I had my music going.
And I had fun. ^_^
It’s amazing how much livelier I felt while vacuuming when I had my music going! The whole process seemed quicker than usual too, even though I know from looking at the clock that it was in reality no faster than any other time!
So from now on, I’m going to be listening to my music while I vacuum. Possibly while I do other chores too. ^_^ After all, why not make something you have to do more enjoyable? ^_^

I once vacuumed to the James Blunt CD. It took me 6 hours to vacuum one room, and then I broke down crying and stuck my head in the oven.
I have headphones like that there really good unless a really loud song comes on right after you turned up the volume for a quiet one because…well it hurts, and nice gallery.
