Okay guys – time for another Chloe18 gallery! Enjoy!!!

Once upon a time, not so very long ago, there was a man who worked very hard at his job, and therefore didn’t get to spend much time with his two daughters on weekdays. Because of this, he made sure that all his Saturdays were Daddy-Daughter days, and he would rack his brain trying to figure out where to take his two little girls for fun. Often, he’d take them to the park, where they loved to ride the carousel. Funny thing about watching two little girls ride a carousel though – it gets boring. So this man grew bored, and thought to himself, There has to be a better way. He felt that there ought to be a place where a daddy could take his daughters and all of them could have fun together.

That man was Walt Disney, and I’m so very glad that he got bored watching his girls on the carousel, because that prompted him to create Disneyland. ^_^ Which then caught on so famously that he was able to create Disney World. ^_^

My family has taken several trips to Disneyland and Disney World over the years, and I remember each and every one of them as being absolutely fantastic. We’ve gotten our share of uncooperative weather – we’ve been caught in more than one torrential downpour – but it doesn’t slow us down in the least. I’ve been to Disneyland twice – once when I was a toddler, so I don’t remember, and once more when I was about nine – and I’ve been to Disney World three times – once when I was five, once when I was fifteen, and a third time just these past couple of weeks! ^_^

To be honest, I thought I’d outgrown the Disney thrall. I hadn’t been in a really long time, and it didn’t even come to mind when I would think dreamily about places I would go on vacation if I had all the time and cash in the world at my disposal. My thoughts had turned to tropical, relaxy type places, like the Mexican Riviera, or to places I’d never been before. So when Disney World was suggested, I was on board and enthusiastic, but I wasn’t hyper with excitement. After all, I’m not a kid anymore, and I’ve been there before. That all changed, though, the second I was on Disney property. Seriously. As soon as we passed under the gate adorned with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy, I started to get giddy. I almost skipped my way from the parking stall to the courtesy tram that takes you to the park gates. And once I was through the ticketing gate, I was hit with that hyperactive dismay that comes with wanting to do everything all at once but knowing that that’s just physically impossible, accompanied by that horrifying indecisiveness that comes with trying to figure out what to do first. ^_^

So for the next little while, I think my bloggage will be mostly trip recaps, possibly with some piccies thrown in for good measure. I had a wonderful, amazing, fantastic time. I can’t wait to do it all again! ^_^

And I’ve learned something. You don’t outgrow the magic of Disney. ^_^

Thank goodness Walt Disney got bored. ^_^
